Whew! November was a whirlwind. I was blessed with a lot of great gigs in November and I’d like to give you a quit rundown!

The first date in November was a quartet gig with the Dothan city Mayor’s new Mercedes dealership. Of course, we had a great time (we were playing music, after all) and the Mayor and his staff we’re really cool. The new facility is beautiful and, even though I wasn’t offered a courtesy vehicle like I had hoped, it was a really good night.

The next gig was a duo performance with Guitarist, Rusty Frith for a wonderful organization called the Wiregrass Hope Group. They help families learn how to be families and assist them in overcoming life’s         challenges. The event raised money for the group and we enjoyed being a part of it.

After that, I joined Rusty and a couple other cats for a gig with country singer, Katie Smith. I must admit, a BBQ festival is not really my cup of tea but I enjoy working with Katie and I did have a really good (albeit ridiculously expensive) pulled pork sandwich. We hung out and enjoyed some other bands before heading home.

On the 17th, my trio provided the music for an American Red Cross fundraiser that we have done since it began in ’08. mARTinis on Main is always a fun gig because there are so many people there just to help. It’s kind of a who’s who event. Plus, once they all loosen up a little, they hang around the band and we get to meet some pretty cool cats.

I ended off the month with a six day trip to my old stomping grounds, Atlanta, Ga. My wife and I lived there early in our marriage and love to go back when we can.

I’ve already got two gigs under my belt for December so check back soon for my rambling on those :) and check the calendar ’cause we’ve got more to come. Hope to see you at some of them.
