About

For right around three decades, Chris has been living and breathing music. It’s a passion that won’t let him be. His formative years were spent performing with rock, funk, country, and jazz bands. In college, he excelled in jazz performance on his primary instruments, electric and upright bass, which got him accepted into scholarship granting ensembles.

Throughout college, Chris continued to express his passion for jazz by maintaining his own jazz ensemble and writing/releasing original works in the genre. This led to a love of composing that endures to this day. In fact, Chris regularly releases classical and neo-classical pieces under the moniker, C.Ho the Musical.

After college, he dove into the world of live production and music direction. He began contracting for – and eventually accepting staff positions at – several large churches. Since leaving his last position in October 2020, Chris continues to contract for churches, event companies, and bands by providing creative and musical direction, playback design and tracking, and audio mixing. He recently founded 38 Ghosts Productions which focuses on new and reimagined music through live and recorded experiences.

When not composing, performing, or working with 38 Ghosts’ clients, Chris enjoys a nomad-type life. Living in a converted school bus with his family and using travels and nature to inspire his art.
