I Believe In A Thing Called Love

Guys!

I got to (virtually) hang out with some of my favorite musicians and throw down on the low notes for a cover of The Darkness’ I Believe In A Think Called Love. It was a freakin’ blasty blast and I hope you dig it!

These guys are (for real) some of my favorite peeps on the planet. After you watch the vid , go check them all out…

Adam Johnson (Vocals, Guitar) of Cover Band Confidential. Literally an Atlanta cornerstone of cover bands. You can check him out on IG at @coverbandconfidential, on YT at CoverBandConfidential, and on the web at www.coverbandconfidential.com.

Grayson Barton (Guitar) has one of the best studios I know of. It may very well be my favorite place to spend time. He’s also an awesome guy and a crazy good musician. Check his IG at @starscreamstudio or website at www.starscreamstudio.com

On Drums, we have Casey Cooper. Over 2.5 MILLION subscribers on the YouTubes. Crazy good. Used to light his sticks on fire but I think he’s gotten help for that. IG: @Coop3rdrumm3r YouTube: Coop3r Drumm3r

Cooper Carter (Guitar) killing that stoic, shredder vibe. His IG is @coopercarter and you can find him on the interwebs at www.coopercarter.com.

Switching Genres (Westworld Cue)

Hey fam!

I’m so pumped to tell you about the latest track I finished and posted. It was written for a competition held by Spitfire Audio and HBO. The challenge was to write a cue for a chase scene from a season 3 episode of Westworld. I love the show and I love writing music to picture so I had to do it. Check it out below and let me know what you think! Also, take a sec and subscribe to my YouTube channel.

Dua Lipa – Don’t Start Now Bass Cover

Fam!!

I hope this note finds you all healthy and sane! The other day, I slapped the internet in the face with a fancy-nancy cover video of Dua Lipa’s fabulous track, Don’t Start Now. It’s such a fun tune and the bass line is a blast. If you haven’t heard it, it’s a throwback to the post-disco boogie style with funky bass, clean guitar, and great synths.

Somebody’s Watching Me

I really do have a habit of making things sad. Particularly when I’m at a keyboard or piano. Sometimes I think it’s all my brain knows how to do with the instrument. Here’s a reimagining/reharmonization of a tune I grew up with. I’m not sure if it comes back to life every year around Halloween but it did in 2019 ’cause I started seeing it everywhere. I wanted to make it fit into an opener I was arranging for a service but ultimately didn’t have time to incorporate it. I did really dig this chorus, though.
